Hosted by CREEi alumnus and site-PI, Bernardo Garcia Camino, CREEi delivered two onsite intensive courses May 4-7, 2023 at the Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro’s Facultad de Filosofia (https://filosofia.uaq.mx/) in Queretaro, Mexico. This included the final capstone course for members of the second graduating cohort (including oral defenses of their normative projects) and an intensive practicum for those enrolled in cohort 3, who will conclude their training in June 2024 (including a ‘work in progress’ presentation). The cohorts had some overlapping activities aimed at nurturing the previously established relationships between them and fostering a supportive network for future partnerships. Having meals together and live interpretation during the workday enabled communication across languages. Walking between our designated hotel and classrooms at the Facultad de Filosofia we experienced cultural highlights including the historic university campus and old town, numerous ornate churches, and artisanal shops. Some took advantage of an excursion to the market for a short lunch and shopping opportunity.
